I need video editor help, please!?

I need a simple video editor that's free, isn't a trial, saves the videos as a file type that I can upload to youtube, works with Windows, & DOES NOT tag the videos with a label. I already have windows movie maker, it doesn't work for my videos. When I try editing them or playing them with the program, it makes a high pitched squealing chipmunk kinda noise instead of the actual audio. Can anyone help with that? If not, like I said, just point me in the direction of a good video editor that I can easily crop my videos. Please & thank you. Oh, I've also already tried AVS Video Editor. It adds their label in the center of the video if I don't buy it, which I can't afford it.
